ISAAC SLADE GRADUATE OF THE MUSIC AND ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY STUDIES WITH A BACHELOR OF MUSIC DEGREE AND LEAD SINGER/PIANIST/SONG WRITER OF THE HIT GROUP 'THE FRAY' SIGNS WITH YAMAHA AY' SIGNS WITH YAMAHA
Isaac Slade continues to be in the news. Slade was featured in July 9th's People magazine meeting a possible long-lost relative-heiress British aristocrat, Sir Benjamin Slade. He was spotted in local skateboard park guest judging the SPARE PARTS skateboard competition in Littleton, Colorado this past August for 1 Liquid House, a non-profit company aimed at promoting teen creativity. Lastly, this summer Slade joined the Yamaha artist roster. "We are thrilled that Isaac has joined the Yamaha family of artists and entrusts our quality pianos to create The Fray's signature sound. With all of the band's recent accolades, they certainly deserve and are destined for even greater sucesses in the future," commented Chris Gero, vice president of Yamaha Corporate Artist Affairs, Inc.
THE FRAY'S music is among the most licensed on television today with their songs featured on such shows as Scrubs, Grey's Anatomy, NCIS, One Tree Hill, Bones and HBO's summer promos. The three-time BMA winners are back in the studio this fall, with an eye on releasing their second album in early 2008.
Also, the group received two Grammy® nominations earlier this year (2007).
The Fray appeared for the "Final Senior Seminar” Graduation Celebration hosted by CU-Denver Live! and CAM in the King Center on the Auraria Campus May 11 for two performances. Over 1,000 graduating singers attended the free event.
