Richard SandersProfessor Richard Sanders recently received two Federal Earmark Grants for 2008 for the purpose of establishing a new National Center for Media Forensics. The grant totaling $709,700 is handled through the U.S. Department of Justice.

The new Center will establish cross-disciplinary, inter-institutional collaborations for research in forensic sciences and homeland security. It will improve opportunities for research and increase the diversity of students seeking graduate and undergraduate degrees from the UC Denver College of Arts & Media as well as open up advanced career opportunities for Colorado researchers in forensic sciences, biometrics and new collaborations with the UC Denver Anschutz Medical Campus health sciences programs.
