The College of Arts & Media
The College of Arts & Media was established in July 1998 by the University
of Colorado Board of Regents as the first and only comprehensive undergraduate
arts and media college in Colorado. College of Arts & Media programs
emphasize a broad approach to arts and media education with strong links
to technology and the marketplace. This curricular focus on the intersections
of art, technology and commerce reflects the vibrancy and pace of the
urban Denver environment. We are proud of the progress and accomplishments
of the college and its students in the seven exciting years since its
formation. These many accomplishments can be attributed to the implementation
of three strategic initiatives throughout the courses, faculty, and programs
of the college:
-
academic and artistic excellence
-
signature degree programs in art, technology, and commerce
-
innovative and experiential learning through partnerships
Our academic programs are unique in that we are the only college in the in the
Rocky Mountain region offering four-year university-level B.F.A., B.A., and
B.S. degree programs with emphases in such areas as film/video production, multimedia,
music business and music technology. Our newest degree programs include a B.F.A.

Arts.
Creative expression is fundamental to all academic programs in the college, as
is the development of technical skills tempered by passionate artistic rigor.
Whether you are pursuing dedicated study of the visual arts, music or theatre,
or the application of cutting-edge technologies to your creative expression,
the college, its faculty and staff are committed to providing a challenging,
