Job Hunting in the Music Industry
presented by Storm Gloor, Assistant Professor, Music & Entertainment Industry Studies Department
Tuesday, December 2
5:30pm
Tivoli Student Union on the Auraria Campus, Room 444
Free and open to the public.

In these challenging economic times, especially within the rapidly changing music business, finding employment opportunities would seem daunting, to say the least.

But while the traditional record business has definitely seen its better days the music business continues to show promise, and the expected growth is poised to create opportunities for job seekers in the music industry.

Those individuals wishing to find employment inside the companies and sectors expected to grow in this business will of course have to possess many abilities. Perhaps more importantly, though, they will first know how to find the opportunities to put those skills to work for a music or music-related company in order to achieve their personal goals.

In this presentation we’ll discuss and review some handy organizational tools, online and offline resources, and tips sure to help anyone planning to job hunt in the music industry.
We’ll also review some relevant, helpful skills to practice and maintain during your job search and beyond.

Sponsored by MEISA and the UC Denver Department of Music & Entertainment Industry Studies Department
