Hans Rosenwinkel, assistant professor in the Department of Theatre, Film, and Video Production at the College of Arts & Media will showcase a variety of his reality television and documentary production work for three different show series that aired with National Geographic, PBS and HDnet. Hans’'s work focuses on natural history, history and culture, the environment, and action-adventure travel.
A total of three show stories and sequences will be shown. Blood Sport aired on the National Geographic Channel about the behind the scenes training of cock fighting in Mexico. Primates in Peril is a National Geographic Society mission's based program that aired on PBS's Wild Chronicles series about the endangered Cotton Top Tamarin that only makes its home in Colombia. The adventure travel series, American Xplorer, which airs on HDnet, Professor Rosenwinkel will show an episode that takes viewers into the backcountry of Costa Rica and reveals the rich history of the Panama Canal.
Hans Rosenwinkel-College of Arts & Media Assistant Professor
Hans Rosenwinkel’s professional career encompasses a wide array of productions including television news, network affiliate promotions, commercial advertising, corporate industrial production, narrative film, and documentary film making. Rosenwinkel was drawn to Los Angeles to pursue his M.F.A. at the prestigious American Film Institute. During his tenure in California, Rosenwinkel continued his career as a writer, producer, director, videographer, editor, and digital media artist working for a production company that produced all forms of nationally broadcast television production. Currently, he runs his own independent production company called Evolution Media. As an independent producer, his most recent projects include producing, shooting, and editing projects for National Geographic, PBS, the Fox Sports Network, and Warren Miller Entertainment.
