LESLIE GASTON, pianist and Recording engineer
Leslie Gaston is Assistant Professor of Music in Recording Arts. Leslie Gaston received a B.A. in Telecommunications in 1991 and an A.S. in Audio Engineering in 1989 from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. She was among the first to graduate from the Master of Science in Recording Arts program at the University of Colorado Denver. Gaston worked for four years at National Public Radio in Washington, D.C., and for seven years at Colorado Public Radio in Denver. She was the recording engineer for the Colorado Symphony from 1998-2000. Along with Dan Drayer and Kelley Griffin, she won the 2000 Edward R. Murrow award for A Columbine Diary, which aired in Denver during NPR's All Things Considered. She is a member of the Audio Engineering Society and a member of Phi Eta Sigma and Golden Key honor societies.
