Richard
W. Sanders is Full Professor of Recording Arts at the University of Colorado
Denver's Music & Entertainment
Industry Studies. He holds a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering
from the University of Colorado at Boulder and has completed post graduate
work in audio recording electronic music and audio/video forensics. His passion
for surround sound, audio sweetening and forensics has helped him to become
a sought after expert.
As a member of the Audio Engineering Society (AES) since 1975, Mr. Sanders serves as the Colorado Chapter past chair and treasurer. He has chaired workshops and presented papers at AES conventions. Mr. Sanders is co-author of a 1985 textbook titled Audio Sweetening for Film and TV.
Richard W. Sanders is the owner of Salt Pro Audio, LLC.; a Denver based company that specializes in audio post-production and audio/video forensics. Feature film credits include sound design, composing and supervision on six features and many short films and documentaries. Salt Pro Audio has worked with high profile clients such as United Artists, Sony, AMC Theaters, IMAX, PBS-TV, Fox TV, TCI Cable, Warren Miller Films, Hallmark, Yamaha Corporation and Jones Intercable.
As an audio forensics expert witness, Mr. Sanders testifies and consults in numerous cases throughout the country, including the Kobe Bryant, Columbine Shooting, Oklahoma Bombing, Newmont Mining and Jon Benet Ramsey cases.
