
UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS
Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts Degree
Perhaps you have artistic skills and interest, but have not yet chosen a particular medium. Or you may be interested in art history and theory but want to work in the studio as well as the classroom. Consider the Bachelor of Art (BA) degree programs in Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Photography or Art History at the University of Colorado at Denver College of Arts & Media. These courses of study allow you to explore several different artistic mediums at a variety of levels. You'll acquire a foundation in basic painting, drawing, sculpture and photographic techniques, preparing you to move into advanced courses in any of these areas. Courses in art history and art theory will complete your studies.
Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fine Arts Degree
Students who want a more intensive experience in the media of their choice may to choose the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree. The Bachelor of Fine Arts dgree offers a more in-depth, concentrated course of study in the areas of Drawing, Painting, Sculpture or Photography. You will work one-on-one with professors and instructors in small classes. Students develop a strong base in design, drawing and art history which provides the foundation needed to succeed. You will, through Art Seminar, learn how to proceed into you area of professional area of practice to advanced studies for possible entry to graduate school.
